I have always had certain issues with these high priced cars. Sure, if you have some cash you can buy one, but can you really afford one though?

To me, unless I have a very nice bankroll, U would end up getting this, putting it in a corner, and washing it every week. I have always had a soft spot for cheaper cars that can preform just because you can actually use them for an intended purpose without getting bent out of shape about its future value and cost of maintenance. For instance, someone making say 200 K a year can buy the CGT, but can they really take advantage and have fun with it like they would if they bought a C2S? I hope I am making some type of sense here.

I don't think 200k a year is enough to afford a CGT. Based on the fact that you will have a certain lifestyle with the house, expenses, Kids Private School, Wife's shopping, etc. Don't forget the everyday cars as well.

So I would say to afford a CGT out of warranty, you would have to make at least 400K a year to be able to enjoy the car. After all you don't want to pull up to Taco Bell in a CGT, LOL.

Why not Taco Bell drive-thru in a CGT? That's kind of cool.

Joseph is going in the right direction with $$$. I've known 5 owners of CGT(s) which are now 4 present owners. I don't know the exact $$$ figure but all are close or over the 7 figure mark in annual compensation (salary + dividends + profit sharing + ...). And as Joseph mentioned about lifestyle they also have at least 4 other exotics which include Ferrari(s), Lambo(s), Bentley(s), ...

The sad thing is due to their business demands they have little time for family let alone taking the toys out.

Yeah David, but we are talking about having multiple exotics at that point.

Joseph, what if you are a gay bachelor who travels a lot and is only into cars? No kids, no need for a house, no other toys, business pays for all other expenses. Then is 200K enough? Laughing Out Loud

But at 400K, can you take the risk of trashing that thing at the track where it is not going to get covered by your insurance company? Then again, at that point you are probably dishing over some god loot to your insurance agent and company so they might let one slide.
