Hey there,
as far as I know, the Panamera is the first car in the US, which has the start-stop function.
Do you like/use this feature or do you have recognized any advantages in fuel consumptions?
I think its a a nice idea, but I'm really not sure it will work out in the US. |

I don't like it. Aside from it being one more point of failure, it is entirely pointless on this car. No one paying 100 grand plus for these cars is going to care about one more mpg. Honestly, who cares.

i totally agree with you...
it doesn't make any sense in a sportscar.
but i also heard, that others, like bmw, want to introduce this feature by next year... with default 'on', which means you have to turn it off every single time you start your car. i thinks thats gonna be very annoying... |

Most of this has to do with fuel efficiency. They all need to raise their numbers. So this useless gadgetry is becoming increasingly needed as they do not want to actually shrink the engines and such.
