I was looking for opinions on the value of the different Cold Air Intake Systems Question It seems like most 996 owners prefer the K&N and FabSpeed systems. The FabSpeed system is 2 or 3 hundred dollars more, but looks nicer also. Anyone here with experience and an opinion?? Thanks  Here is a photo of the FabSpeed system. Looks pretty cool, huh

I have a buddy with the K&N intake system. Fit and finish is superb. Didn't seem like it added much power. Makes an awesome sound at around 4,000 rpm and above. Seems like the Fabspeed system is a bit overpriced for what it does compared to the K&N. My vote would be to go with K&N.

Thanks Vader, but I bought the EVO CAI, and it is excellent. Combined with the Plenum, and Fister Ds, gives a little bit of extra power and a nice sound

Good choice. One of the things I have always loved about the porsche's I've owned is modifying them.

To me, that is part of the appeal of purchasing a Porsche. It is like having a blank canvass  , and then changing or adding things that more reflect your personality  One of the things I like best about Pcar gatherings is seeing the different things people do to their cars and adapting those things that appeaL to you.
