Blew the power steering at Willow
I was having a blast being one of the two fastest corvettes out there all day, but pushing my car that hard took its toll. I need new brakes, new tires, and a POWER STEERING PUMP!! I couldn't figure out who had that loud ass supercharger all day. THen I realized it was me, and thought, man my supercharger sounds nice. Wait, I don't have one. Uh OH. So I park it and let it cool, only to come back to it in an hour and find out it has NO power steering. Check under the car, all the fluid is gone. So now its at the dealership cause I don't have enought time to mess with it and hopefully will get it back soon. Just thought I should share this. Total cost for one track day for me now:
Gas - $90
Tires - $200
Brakes - $200
Track Time - $210
Power Steering - $650
Total cost for one day - $1350
Now I'm pissed cause I could have used that to buy a dirt bike.

Richard, I could not have said it better
Running Big Willow is one of the most exciting experiences you can have, but it does come at a price. In the heat of Rosamond, the track temperature is high and the wear on the vehicle is severe. Fun comes at a price.

I conquered! You could had spent a lot more for the roller coaster ride instead just $1300. Remember tires, brakes do wear when you are tracking.
If cost is your main concern. Try to get a sponsorship from Pcars.us.
As long you are enjoying the experience don't get mad for low repair cost.

Sponsoring a vehicle at this point would come out of the Pcars owner's pockets, if anyones getting sponsorship don't you think it would be one of the two rides currently funding Pcars?
Trust me, running Pcars is not cheap and 100% of ANY profit goes back into keeping it alive.....

Only $200.00 for tires. Did you only buy one?

Nope. Thats how much tread I used. I lost half of the rear tread which results to 50% loss of $200 per tire. So $400 worth of tires, minus 50% tread = $200.

My Jeep is US spec, so I always thing that I go very slow, you know, it reads only 100 dear....
The big fun in when others read the clock and told me that, wow we go with only 120 and looks like we go with 200 .... and why all the others are so slow today?!!!
