Gauge face replacement

Most important: Take your time. You will need to remove your needles. Your new gauge face kit should come with a needle removal tool. Between the needle and old gauge face there's hardly any room to manuver the tool. I ended up shaving off several cm from the tool to make it easier to work with. Total job time was less than 1 hour. When removing the cluster make sure you place a blanket or something to protect your dash. Very easy to mess up. GL.

Kurt, I have a question about your exhaust. Any resonance?
Sorry about the subject change but I don't have much time.

Kslater- are you talking 997 or 996? The gauge faces were removed from an 08 997S. No "kit", just the face pieces. I still have yet to find info on removal- do they pop straight up / off? Do you turn them counter-clockwise then pop up? Seems like I am in uncharted territory here..

GT John- Sorry for the late reply man, this forum does not alert me when there are new posts to a subscribed thread. There is indeed some resonance around 3200 RPM that comes in and drops off. I did not find it too much for DD though. I've also not had any problems with holding a phone call, listening to tunes etc.
They are definitely louder inside the car than regular mufflers, but nowhere near as loud inside the car as bypass pipes. Also, there is no funny vibration in the car like you get with alot of aftermarket mufflers. Very smooth.
