My luck + my car door .... need insurance advice

alright well some of you know what has happned with my car in the past. for thoes of you who dont, it was dented, then fixed. 15hrs later (if that) i come back and my door is completly smashed. (hit and run). got it fixed again with the money left over from the 1st accident.

June 21, 2008 my neighbor decided to hit the same F#$%ing door. Now there is a decent side dent and scratch. damange was quoted $1,400 at one shop and $2,100 at another. (the 2,100 also includes a door ding on my rear quarter pannel) Anyhoot, Mr. Neighbore decided to go through his insurance company. (USAA)

July 14, 2008 Mr. USAA comes to my home to write up an estimate and then emails it to me. I couldnt open the file for one reason or another (tif file) so i called Mr. USAA up and asked him what the number was. $500

$500! you cant even buy a f^&*(ing hamburger for $500 (i did say that to him:) )

so my question to you guys is, what do i do next?

that's how the game is played. Ur next step is to take it to a bodyshop and usually works on high end vehicles and have them get into contact with the neighbors insurance agent and they will talk to them and get more money to cover the costs completely

Well your insurance will foot the bill, then they will bill the persons at fault for the repairs. its easy dude, get into contact with your insurance.

Yes, contact your insurance and file the claim through them. You are 100% NOT at fault so you will not need to pay the deduct as you also have the right to take it to a body shop of choice.

If you have the $$$ get it fixed and you'll get a check from your ins. co. Forget trying to deal with his ins. co. direct.

If it's the other party at fault, why would you want to deal with the other guy's insurance directly. Let your ins. take care of your damage and collect the money from the other.

Take your car to a AAA bodyshop that deal with high end vehicles so you get the top grade work. Make sure to deal with the body shop for waiving the deductible, that way you don't pay a dime.

He doesn't have to. . .

The other guys insurance will need to cover that period. In the event the other guy didn't have insurance he (Sean) would have to pay for it.

Regardless if it is your fault or not, you still got to pay the deductible. Find a shop you can work with and waive the deductible. Get three estimates and just submit the highest and tell them that is the lowest you got.

Call your insurance co. I'm telling you, they will make the other insurance co. pay 100%

No, they won't. I had a friend who went outside one morning and her car was completely smashed. Someone drove a truck on top of it or something unbeleivably absurd. Her insurance went through the roof and she had to pay a deductable. Such is life, it ain't always fair buddy! pirat
