Hey Big Larry,

Thanks. Had this been 20 years ago, it would have been done already...just not high on my priority list. It's amazing how as we get older our priorities change and we aquire a lot more patience...I like it.

Isn't that the truth. My exhaust project has now been going on for over 2 months and I still am only one step away from finishing it.

Hey Guys,

I figured I'd resurrect and jump back in.

The car looks great Todd. I know you've been working hard at getting it back together and also keeping the cost reasonable for the rebuild.

I still am having trouble with the patience. If that's any indication I guess I'm not getting older.

I know you are taking this opportunity to learn a lot about your motor which is great.

I'm looking forward to getting back out myself.

I've had reconstructive surgery on my hand since I've seen the guys last, and I've had my hand in a brace. So, I've been limited.

Once again, It looks great Todd...

I hope the best for you and your famly,

C.L.

Thanks for the response Steve. I hope you are doing well.

I've tried to back off on WOW a bit..lol

Next run I want to go. I'll make sure I pay attention of when the next run is.

Very Happy C.L.

Hey Big Sean!

Thanks guy. Just dropped the heads off at the machine shop on Monday. Should be ready in the next several days...I'm getting pretty anxious myself...can't wait to get her back on the road...

Not really sure when that's going to happen. The wife is scheduled for surgery in the next couple of weeks, so I'll have to play it by ear...

Glad to hear from you...

Ciao,

Todd

Well Dudes and Dudettes, it's been awhile but I finally had a moment to resume assembly of the motor today. Things are moving along quite nicely. I was able to install the rings, barrels, heads and cam tower. While re-assembling the motor, I also discovered that I have SC cams, which I understand are high performance cams for the old school turbos...

As most of you know, I recently had to send the heads and the barrels out to have new Ni-resist rings made. Had no Idea of what that consisted of until I went to pick them up.

Below are 2 photos. One shows the area just around the valves that had to be machined in order to accept the new Ni-Resist ring. The other shows the little Ni-Resist ring. Expensive little booger.

Anyway, we should be looking pretty good from here on out. So I should be looking good for the new year....

Ciao,

TK
